Questions, answered

Do I need an accountant to use Gig Planner?
No. Gig Planner does the arithmetic that usually sends you to a spreadsheet — the fee split, the GST portion and each performer's super entitlement — and keeps the paperwork trail behind it. Your accountant will thank you, but you don't need one to run a gig.
Does it handle GST?
Yes. If your act is GST registered, invoices are issued as tax invoices with the GST component shown, and the GST collected is separated from what actually lands in the band's pocket.
What is Payday Super and why does it matter?
From July 2026 super has to be paid at the same time as wages, not quarterly. Gig Planner works out which performers are owed super for a gig, queues the obligation, tracks it through to remittance and keeps the evidence in one place.
What if a performer doesn't have an ABN?
That's handled. Performers can be sole traders with an ABN, individuals without one, partnerships or companies — Gig Planner records a supplier declaration where required and applies the right split and super treatment for each person.
Can the venue see what's going on?
Yes. Each gig can share a venue portal link showing the line-up, the invoice and the payment status, so the venue stops emailing you and you stop chasing them.
